A message from Julie Hoyt and a huge “thank you” to all of our CFMG Athletes who WODed in support of Ted and Julie yesterday, old and new, near and far. The strength and compassion of our community never ceases to amaze me, and I was so touched to witness the athletes (some who have never even met Ted) who approached Julie to offer condolences and words of comfort. We are so thankful for all of you! ❤️

More Hatch tomorrow, with a fun finisher. Plus, the 10am FREE Beginners Class is tomorrow at CFMG. Bring that friend or co-worker who has been asking you about CrossFit. Coach James will be leading ALL the classes tomorrow, so be ready to bring your best–he expects it! Coach James is one of our best coaches, with a background in competitive sports (football and basketball), as well as a regional competitor in CrossFit. He has an extensive background as a CrossFit Level 1 and CrossFit Level 2 Trainer (Coach’s Prep), as well as a USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach. In addition to his stellar coaching, his energy and attitude will carry you through any WOD. Be sure to give him a high five tomorrow (or hug…he loves that).

Please give your farewell (but not forever!) wishes to Assistant Coach Jessica Scherr, as she travels to Costa Rica to study abroad for the semester. She promises to send us amazing pictures, hit tons of new PRs at her temporary CrossFit box, and come home to San Diego soon! Expect her back in action as an athlete and Assistant Coach at CFMG in January (just in time for the Open!)

Learn all of the fundamentals and move with confidence into our regular classes with our great 4-week Elements program for people who have never done CrossFit. You will learn bodyweight movement progressions, basic barbell strength and get a step-by-step introduction to the Olympic Lifts (snatch and clean and jerk) that will give you a solid foundation to progress into regular classes.
